Woodhaven Supply Co. started the way most firewood stands do — with more wood on one property than one household could burn in a winter, and a neighbor asking if they could buy a truckload.
That was a while ago now. These days we manage about forty acres of mixed hardwood, splitting and stacking what falls or needs thinning, and letting it season properly under cover before it ever reaches a customer. The pine cones come from the same land — gathered through late summer and dried slow, the same way we’ve always done it.
We’re not trying to be the biggest supplier in the county. We’re trying to be the one you call every October and don’t have to think about again until the first cold snap.
What that means in practice:
- Every load is cut from wood that’s actually seasoned, not just dry on the outside.
- We tell you the moisture content if you ask, because we check it ourselves.
- If a bag of cones or a load of wood isn’t right, we’ll make it right.
If you’re nearby, you’re welcome to come see the yard before you buy.
